WINTER WINDS FESTIVAL
Following the recent opening of unusual showroom collections, particularly the one containing military musical instruments, and mostly devoted to the Belgian inventor and musician, Adolphe Sax, this unique festival honors wind instruments.
The youngest and most prominent wind instrumentalists of particularly precocious talent will perform as soloists with an orchestra or a chamber music group, and with or without the accompaniment of strings or piano. From ancient music played with period instruments to jazz played with modern instruments, this festival does not skimp on the vast repertory of wind instruments. Upon entering the Saint-Louis Church, the imposing organ makes a lasting impression on the visitor and serves as an appropriate representation of the great family of wind instruments.
