Tamer Abu Ghazaleh / Maryam Saleh / Maurice Louca

A charismatic singer, an oud virtuoso and a genius of multifaceted electronic music come together for a very personal tribute to Egyptian chaabi music.

Maryam Saleh, Maurice Louca and Tamer Abu Ghazaleh are leading figures in the avant-garde milieu of the current Arab scene. With Lekhfa, they offer uncompromising music, both beautiful and disturbing. On melodies chiseled by the delicate electro intensity of Maryam, Maurice and Tamer sing a selection of the dystopian poems of their contemporary, Mido Zoheir, one of the most talented Egyptian poets of his generation.
